The Curriculum Development Manager is responsible for leading the planning, design, and implementation of technical and vocational education curricula across multiple disciplines. This role requires extensive experience in competency-based instructional design, ensuring curricula are aligned with industry standards and market requirements. The incumbent will oversee curriculum teams, manage the curriculum lifecycle, and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality educational content.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, development, and management of competency-based technical and vocational curricula across various specializations.
- Supervise curriculum and content development teams, ensuring alignment with competency-based educational principles.
- Collaborate with industry experts and instructional designers to ensure curricula meet workforce needs and employability skills.
- Identify and recruit relevant subject matter experts and faculty members to support curriculum design and implementation.
- Develop and maintain competency frameworks, instructional materials, and assessment tools consistent with national and international accreditation standards.
- Regularly evaluate and revise curricula to ensure relevance to technological advancements, industry practices, and labor market trends.
- Conduct training sessions for educators and staff on the principles and application of competency-based curricula.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders including vocational schools, industry partners, and accreditation bodies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Education, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in vocational and technical curriculum development and instructional design.
- Demonstrated expertise and familiarity with competency-based educational frameworks and curriculum models.
- Proven track record in successfully leading curriculum development projects across multiple technical disciplines.
- Experience with accreditation standards and processes in vocational education at both national and international levels.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with proficiency in Arabic and English.
- Strong knowledge of current educational technology trends and instructional innovations.
- Ability to manage multiple curriculum projects simultaneously and adapt swiftly to evolving industry demands.
