We are seeking a skilled VOIP Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain VOIP systems to ensure seamless communication across our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in VOIP technologies, network management, and troubleshooting, with a proven ability to optimize communication infrastructures.

Your responsibilities will encompass the following key areas

System Design and Implementation :

  • Design, configure, and implement VOIP systems, including PBX, SIP trunks, and call routing solutions.
  • Integrate VOIP systems with existing network infrastructures to ensure seamless communication.

Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting :

  • Monitor and analyze VOIP system performance to ensure high-quality voice services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve VOIP network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system functionality.
  • Capacity Planning and Optimization :

  • Plan and scale VOIP infrastructure to accommodate growing communication needs.
  • Implement network optimization techniques to ensure reliability and quality of service (QoS).
  • Security and Compliance :

  • Implement and enforce security protocols to protect VOIP systems from threats such as call fraud and unauthorized access.
  • Stay updated on security best practices and compliance requirements for VOIP systems.
  • Technical Support and Training :

  • Provide ongoing technical support to end-users and address any VOIP-related issues.
  • Conduct training sessions to ensure staff are proficient in using VOIP systems and tools.
  • Documentation and Reporting :

  • Maintain detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Report on system performance, issues, and improvements to management.
  • Cisco Network and Solutions Management :

  • Manage and administer Cisco IP Telephony networks, including CUCM, CUC, IM, and MRA.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco voice gateways for PSTN connectivity.
  • Manage and administer video conferencing solutions such as Jabber and CMS.
  • Call Center and Recording Solutions :

  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco contact center enterprise (UCCE), Zoom, and Eleveo call recording solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve call center and call recording issues.
  • Protocol Troubleshooting and Support :

  • Troubleshoot VoIP protocols like H.323, MGCP, and SIP.
  • Support end-user issues, including IP phone registration, external calling, and voicemail.
  • Project Documentation and Planning :

  • Handle project documentation, planning, and user guides to ensure smooth implementation and support of VOIP solutions.
  • To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in VoIP and voice communication technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco voice solutions.
  • Familiarity with SIP, RTP protocols, and telephony systems.
  • Certifications like CCNA or CCNP Voice are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
