Full Stack Engineer With Backend Focus : Searchandizing (Remote)

Constructor is the next-generation platform for search and discovery in ecommerce, built to explicitly optimize for metrics like revenue, conversion rate, and profit. Our search engine is entirely invented in-house utilizing transformers and generative LLMs, and we use its core and personalization capabilities to power everything from search itself to recommendations to shopping agents. Engineering is by far our largest department, and we’ve built our proprietary engine to be the best on the market, having never lost an A / B test to a competitive technology. We’re passionate about maintaining this and work on the bleeding edge of AI to do so.

Out of necessity, our engine is built for extreme scale and powers over 1 billion queries every day across 150 languages and roughly 100 countries. It is used by some of the biggest ecommerce companies in the world like Sephora, Under Armour, and Petco.

We’re looking for a passionate and skilled full stack engineer to join our Searchandizing team . You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining the tools used by merchandisers of global e-commerce brands to manage their product discovery experience. Your focus will be on delivering features for our Searchandizing dashboard, improving system stability, and scaling our solutions to better serve merchandisers.

Our ultimate goal is to enhance the product discovery experience for shoppers worldwide and improve the onboarding process for new merchandisers, making it faster and easier for them to get up and running on the Constructor platform.

Requirements

• Hands on experience with  Python .
• Have  strong  hands on experience with  backend  development.
• Have hands on experience with devops tools like (AWS-ECS, Cloud Watch, etc.)
• Have experience launching and operating backend systems.
• Hands on experience with Flask or similar web frameworks for  building APIs  .
• Experience owning and deploying full stack services.
• Experience with automated testing practices.
• Familiarity with CI / CD best practices.
• Hands on experience with react is a plus.
• Familiarity with frontend best coding practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A proactive and results-oriented mindset.
• Experience working in remote environments will be a plus.
