Senior Oracle Database Developer

Senior Database Developer designs, develops and monitors Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server Database applications to support bank e-Channels services and other Business requirements. He develops new services according to the agreed design and maintain current services. He translates software requirements into concise and robust programming code.

• Designing, developing and monitoring all Oracle & Microsoft SQL Server Database objects and applications to meet the Business requirements
• Understanding design documents / Clarifying precisely what actions the application is intended to perform in order to design stable, reliable and effective databases
• Adapting current applications to new requirements, as necessary / Combining all elements of the application and testing it / Testing sample data-sets to check that output from the application works as intended
• Ensure all database programs meet Business requirements and performance requirements
• Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
• Working as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project, to write a specific section of the application
• Analysing and tuning the application performance / Investigating, analysing and documenting reported defects
• Creating and tracing test cases and problem scenarios to locate and maintain sources of problems
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates
• Writing detailed operational documentation for the operation of the application by users and operators
• Consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop applications programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge
