Key Responsibilities and Duties
1. Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervision : Lead, train, mentor, and schedule the Quality Inspectors, Technicians, and Audit personnel.
- Performance Management : Monitor team performance, conduct regular evaluations, and foster a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement.
- Safety : Ensure the QA team follows all safety protocols and company policies while conducting inspections and audits.
2. Quality Systems Management & Audits
System Maintenance : Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), primarily focused on IATF 16949 requirements.Internal Audits : Plan, schedule, and execute regular internal quality audits (process, product, and system) to verify compliance with standards and procedures.Documentation Control : Manage and maintain all quality documentation, including control plans, FMEAs, work instructions, and inspection records.3. Product & Process Control
Inspection Oversight : Supervise the inspection of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished automotive products using appropriate measurement tools and techniques.Non-conformance Management : Manage the non-conformance process. Initiate, track, and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions ( CAPA ) using methodologies like the 8D problem-solving model .Statistical Process Control (SPC) : Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and utilize SPC techniques to prevent deviations and ensure process stability.4. Customer and Supplier Quality
Customer Interface : Serve as a key contact for customer quality issues. Review customer complaints and drive immediate containment actions and long-term resolution.Supplier Quality : Work closely with the Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team to monitor supplier performance, ensure incoming parts meet specifications, and participate in supplier audits.PPAP : Oversee the preparation and submission of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation for new or modified parts to customers.
