We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Presales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, designing tailored technical solutions, and providing expert guidance throughout the sales process.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and achieve defined goals.
- Create new sales opportunities by exploring the market, identifying potential customers, and expanding the customer base.
- Build and strengthen sustainable relationships with current customers and expand the customer base through new sales achievements.
- Analyze customer needs and provide suitable technological solutions and products to meet those needs.
- Track and monitor trends and developments in the technology market and provide strategic information to the team and management.
- Collaborate with technical support teams and other technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction and deliver high-quality service.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and analyses to management.
- Provide High and Low-level designs based on customer needs.
- Work with the team to design highly technical solutions and identify the potential supplier(s) list for the provided solution(s).
- Prepare solution proposals, Bill of Quantities (BoQs), architectural diagrams, and scope of work (SOW) documents.
- Conduct product demonstrations, Proof of Concepts (POCs), and technical workshops.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in networking and security.
- Collaborate with vendors (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, Aruba) and internal delivery / engineering teams to align solution strategies.
- Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.
- Conduct client site surveys to ensure a proper understanding of the project scope.
- Produce technical content for client proposals including scope, conceptual design, bill of materials, and pricing.
- Provide smooth transition from sales to post sales delivery teams. This means participating in design reviews and project planning meetings.
- Provide coaching and professional development to team-member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
- Support by responding effectively to RFIs / RFPs that include post-tender activity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, vendor management, or presales—preferably within the IT infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of client computing products and enterprise IT procurement cycles.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis, business reporting, and product planning tools.
- A results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong documentation and presentation skills using tools like Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.
- Strong analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
