General Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented General Accountant to join our growing construction company. The ideal candidate will manage financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, and support the financial health of our projects. This position plays a crucial role in our financial team by delivering accurate financial reports, managing accounting operations, and assisting project managers in financial planning and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain general ledger and prepare journal entries in accordance with accounting principles.
• Prepare accurate financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a monthly basis.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payment of invoices and accurate billing.
• Conduct reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and project budgets regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting for various construction projects.
• Monitor project costs and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and financial regulations.
• Work closely with project managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis as required.
• Stay updated with accounting regulations and best practices relevant to the construction industry.
