Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Automation pre sales and commissioning Engineer to support the sales team by providing technical expertise, solution design, and customer-focused presentations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between customer needs and automation solutions, ensuring alignment between product capabilities and business requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate automation solutions (PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI, etc.).
  • Analyze RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents to prepare technical and commercial proposals.
  • Design system architecture diagrams and solution presentations tailored to client requirements.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and site visits when needed.
  • Liaise with engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure solution feasibility and accurate costing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automation technologies, vendor products (e.g., Siemens) and industry trends.
  • Prepare technical documentation, compliance matrices, and client-facing materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, and OEM partners.
  • Support the transition of successful bids to the project execution team.
  • Attend trade shows, technical events, and customer workshops as a technical representative.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in automation engineering, pre-sales, or technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI), communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Profibus, etc.).
  • Experience in technical proposal writing and solution design.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and preferably EPLAN or similar design tools.
