Consultancy – Retail Sales advisor for Alsalam
We are searching for an experienced Consultancy – Retail Sales advisor for Alsalam at our Egypt facility.
Project Overview :
The Challenge Fund for Youth Employment (CFYE) is a 7-year and €million programme funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that aims to create a prosperous future for , young women and men in the Middle East, North Africa, Sahel & West Africa and Horn of Africa regions. The Fund will be supporting initiatives in 12 focus countries that will offer youth, in particular young women, opportunities for work that is demand-driven and productive, offering a stable income and safe working conditions, and that is contributing to their personal development and social protection.
About Alsalam :
Alsalam Factory was established in in Sudan with the vision is to provide ecofriendly essential products to the regional market through innovative solutions while empowering women and girls.
The mission is to become the leading manufacturer of ecofriendly products in Africa with the focus on reusable sanitary pads and diapers while positively impacting local communities through women's economic and social empowerment.
In Alsalam expanded its operations to Egypt and started the production of reusable sanitary pads and reusable diapers.
Assignment Overview :
Alsalam has conducted a market research for the Egypt market and is now at an exciting phase of growth, and they are looking to develop a comprehensive Sales strategy based on the research outings. It is seeking to build a Sales plan outlining the approach to best enter and penetrate the Egyptian retail market.
To achieve this goal, CFYE is looking to onboard an experienced sales expert based in Egypt to support Alsalam to develop a Sales Strategy including recommend optimal sales model (direct, distributor, partner, e-commerce, , propose pricing strategy and value proposition tailored to the Egyptian market and develop lead generation and conversion strategy.
The consultant will report directly to the CFYE Country Lead and work closely, on a day-to-day basis with the Alsalam management team including the marketing department.
Specific Activities & Deliverables :
The Sales consultant will provide frequent management coaching sessions, with the ultimate aim of helping the Management team come up with a strong, well informed Retail Strategy.

The timeline of the assignment is expected to be 4 months (end of July – end of October ).
