To manage the monthly closing activities and its related international holding companies in order to provide monthly consolidated financial statements to finance superiors in a timely and efficient manner.
Financial Accounting and Reconciliation
§ Reconcile various GL accounts (i.e. bank accounts, accruals, prepaid assets etc.) by month-end and year-end ensuring accurate and timely closing of account books.
§ Update and reconcile the subsidiary ledgers each month along with the GL to ensure that proper reconciliation is done taking into account depreciation and amortisation of assets, as per the API / Holding company’s policy and in accordance with requirements.
§ Analyse month end accruals, and provide variances for increase or decrease in accruals between the months.
Follow up with AP, AR & Treasury & other stakeholders for unreconciled and outstanding items.
Month-end closing activities
§ Communicate the schedule for month and year end closing activities to all stakeholders in order to ensure timely execution of closing activities and reconciliation of general ledger accounts as per the defined schedule.
§ Execute all the closing activities for API / Holding Companies, on a monthly basis in line with accounting policies and procedures to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and reflect the financial standing.
§ Prepare month-end journal entries, as directed by line manager to record transactions, accruals, and adjustments.
Develop periodical statutory financial reports including financial statements and disclosures, auditing reports, and submit it to the line manager for review, in order to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness
Audit
Assist in the completion of audits for API and related international holding companies by ensuring a thorough review of financials and reporting of any discrepancies to ensure timely completion of audits and implementation of audit results by the entities.

Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field along with a qualified accountant degree (CPA, ACCA, CA)
Minimum Experience :
§ 3-4 years of working experience. Experience is audit is preferable.
§ Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
§ Knowledge of IFRS Accounting requirements
§ Good business and financial analysis skills
§ Ability to work under pressure and to tight / challenging deadlines
§ Ability to work autonomously when required and to take additional responsibilities as they arise
§ Strong value principles – honesty, integrity, and commitment.
§ Proactive rather than reactive and ‘can do’ attitude.
§ Able to work closely with other teams.
