Job description
  • Establish and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key IT vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics in collaboration with Legal and Procurement teams.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance through KPIs, audits, and service reviews.
  • Manage vendor risk, compliance, and ensure adherence to information security and data privacy standards.
  • Lead end-to-end IT procurement processes for hardware, software, SaaS, cloud services, and consulting engagements.
  • Develop sourcing strategies aligned with IT roadmaps, working closely with solution architects and business analysts.
  • Ensure competitive pricing, cost savings, and value delivery through procurement best practices and supplier consolidation.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives with strategic vendors.
  • Develop and manage the IT vendor financial plan, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Work with Finance to align vendor spend with the IT budget and organizational financial goals.
  • Analyze and report on IT spend across vendors and service categories, identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Monitor and report total cost of ownership (TCO), ROI, and contract compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding vendor-related queries, issues, or escalations.
  • Partner with IT leaders and project managers to understand service needs and ensure vendor support aligns with program objectives.
  • Provide strategic insights and vendor analysis to assist in technology planning and investment decisions.
  • Education :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
    • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CIPS, Certified Technology Procurement Manager (CTPM), or equivalent).
    • Experience :

    • 4 years of experience in IT vendor management, IT procurement, or IT financial management roles.
    • Demonstrated experience managing complex vendor relationships in a multi-vendor IT environment.
    • Proven success in negotiating IT contracts and managing service level agreements.
    • Solid understanding of IT categories such as infrastructure, software licensing, SaaS, and cloud services.
    • Technical Skills :
    • Strong working knowledge of procurement systems and contract management tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, ServiceNow, Oracle).
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI (or similar) for financial reporting and vendor analysis.
    • Familiarity with IT service delivery models (on-premise, cloud, hybrid) and associated cost structures.
    • Soft Skills :

    • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Strategic thinking with the ability to drive alignment between business needs and vendor capabilities.
    • High attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building expertise.
