Job descriptionPrepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditionsPrepare and issue purchase orders and agreementsMonitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concernsInspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomingsImplement the plans and executive programs related to the Purchasing Department.Execute purchase requests received, as well as all work orders within the scope of his responsibilities.Suggest improvement, corrective, and preventive actions that would enhance the performance of the department.Carry out all tasks requested by the Purchasing Manager and the Head of Department within the scope of the Purchasing Department.Submit a weekly report to the Purchasing Manager indicating completed tasks and delayed ones, along with reasons for the delays.Submit a monthly report on the expenditures incurred during the month.All of the above must be carried out in accordance with the officially approved procedures of the Purchasing Department.Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar roleGood working knowledge of purchasing strategiesExcellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skillsStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systemsA bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
