Job description
  • Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
  • Implement the plans and executive programs related to the Purchasing Department.
  • Execute purchase requests received, as well as all work orders within the scope of his responsibilities.
  • Suggest improvement, corrective, and preventive actions that would enhance the performance of the department.
  • Carry out all tasks requested by the Purchasing Manager and the Head of Department within the scope of the Purchasing Department.
  • Submit a weekly report to the Purchasing Manager indicating completed tasks and delayed ones, along with reasons for the delays.
  • Submit a monthly report on the expenditures incurred during the month.
  • All of the above must be carried out in accordance with the officially approved procedures of the Purchasing Department.
  • Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred
