Principal Advanced Services Engineer, CSS Tech Delivery, FMW & PaaS

As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

Fusion Middleware Engineer who can operate confidently across complex integration architectures, hybrid cloud deployments, and high-availability environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced technical support across Oracle Fusion Middleware components : SOA Suite, Service Bus (OSB), WebLogic Server, Oracle API Platform, Oracle Identity Management , and related integration services.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in distributed systems, multi-tier architectures, and mission-critical integrations.
• Design, implement, and test integration solutions spanning on-premise systems and Oracle Cloud (PaaS, OCI).
• Support the full lifecycle of middleware assets : installation, configuration, tuning, patching, security hardening, and performance optimization.
• Ensure stability and reliability of high-availability topologies, clustering, load-balancing, coherence, and messaging.
• Develop and maintain integrations using OIC Integration, OIC Process Automation, VBCS, REST / SOAP services, and event-driven patterns .
• Conduct architecture reviews and recommend improvements that enhance resilience, observability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and customer technical teams to understand business requirements, assess risks, and deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities while ensuring strong governance and documentation standards.
• Provide proactive services, health checks, and performance assessments to prevent outages and minimize operational risks.
• Stay aligned with Oracle engineering best practices and guide customers on roadmaps, upgrades, and modernization strategies.

Ideal Candidate Profile

As an Advisory Systems Engineer, you are expected to be an expert member of the problem-solving / avoidance team and be highly skilled in solving extremely complex (often previously unknown), critical customer issues. Performing the assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and reporting to management on customer status and technical matters on a regular basis, you will be expected to work with very limited guidance from management. Further, the Advisory Systems Engineer is sought by customers and Oracle employees to provide expert technical advice.
