Purpose of the job
To lead and oversee all TV media planning, buying, and execution efforts, ensuring strategic use of television as a core medium in integrated campaigns. This role focuses on maximizing efficiency, optimizing spend, and securing impactful, high-visibility placements across key TV channels. The TV Media Lead plays a critical role in negotiating cost-effective media deals, managing agency performance, and closely monitoring competition to ensure Orange consistently outperforms in media presence and brand impact.
Duties and responsibilities
TV Media Strategy & Planning :
- Develop and implement TV media strategies that align with brand and campaign objectives, ensuring optimal audience reach, frequency, and ROI.
- Collaborate with media agencies to build targeted TV media plans based on audience insights, campaign goals, and available budgets.
- Leverage past campaign data and industry trends to refine planning and enhance media decision-making.
Media Buying & Cost Efficiency :
Lead negotiations with media agencies and TV broadcasters to secure cost-effective deals, high-impact placements, sponsorships, and added-value opportunities.Stay updated on media rate trends and competitor spending to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize ROI.Oversee the TV media budget and ensure efficient use of media investments.Campaign Execution & Monitoring :
Manage the end-to-end execution of TV campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of materials and alignment with broadcast schedules.Monitor live campaign performance (GRPs, reach, frequency) and work with agencies to make real-time optimizations.Conduct post-campaign performance reviews with detailed analysis on media effectiveness and recommendations for future campaigns.Media Agency Management :
Serve as the key contact for media agency coordination, providing strategic briefings and ensuring high-quality deliverables.Assess agency performance across key KPIs including efficiency, cost, and campaign outcomes.Work with procurement and legal teams to manage contracts and negotiate favorable termsCompetitive Intelligence & Market Monitoring :
Continuously monitor competitor TV activity, including campaign timing, messaging, channel presence, and media spend.Analyze competitor KPIs and media performance to recommend counter strategies that ensure Orange maintains a leadership position.Share competitive insights with internal teams and influence proactive planning based on market dynamics.Job specification
Education
Preferably bachelors degree in Mass Communications / Marketing or related field.Experience
4-5 years experience in TV media planning, buying, and strategy.Strong understanding of GRPs, reach metrics, and media performance analysis.Proven track record in media negotiations and cost-efficient buying.Skilled in market intelligence and competitive analysis.Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder and project management skills.Background in telecom and / or media agency environments preferred.Personal Skills
