Claims Team Leader

JOB DETAILS / ROLE PURPOSE

Allianz Partners’ Claims team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated People Leader, who will manage a team of Claims Officers, dedicated to key client accounts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in people and performance management. The role will involve working closely with, and providing support to, the Claims Department managers to ensure the team operates efficiently and that KPI’s are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / What you do

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following :

  • Distribute and monitor the team’s daily workload to facilitate :

o Effective claims processing

o The attainment of individual and group productivity

o The consistent quality of claims adjudication, thereby ensuring release limit attainment

  • Carry out individual performance management in order to maintain and improve individual productivity, quality and decline rate levels
  • Carry out regular team meetings and huddles to improve internal communication and to inform your team of departmental policies and protocols. Idea generation and problem solving should be part of such meetings.
  • Foster and maintain team morale
  • Responsibility for Team Engagement & Motivation, driving AES within the team
  • Collaborate with Claims Performance Lead to assume a proactive and positive approach to the handling of complaints and escalated issues, in line with established protocols, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective succession planning to ensure operational success and employee development & retention
  • Verify and release high value claims to ensure accurate processing and client satisfaction
  • Identify and deal effectively with all emergent issues in a professional and timely manner, while following Company Performance Management and Development policies

  • Completion or progression towards Diploma in Private Medical Insurance
  • Degree in Business / HR Management or equivalent desirabl
