What is this role?

As an Investment Associate you will support the investment team in analyzing financial markets, researching potential investment opportunities, and evaluating risks. They assist with financial modeling, preparing reports and presentations, conducting due diligence, and maintaining client relationships. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of finance and investment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Analysis & Due Diligence

  • Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, valuation analysis, and scenario planning (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, etc.).
  • Support due diligence efforts by evaluating financial statements, market data, competitive landscapes, and industry trends.
  • Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal committees and stakeholders.
  • Assist in structuring transactions, including term sheet review and cap table analysis.
  • Identify and research potential investment opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with industry participants including bankers, brokers, founders, and advisors.
  • Track market trends and provide insights to support investment strategy and thematic research.
  • Monitor performance of existing investments by tracking KPIs, financial metrics, and operational milestones.
  • Prepare quarterly reports, dashboards, and communication materials for senior leadership.
  • Participate in strategic discussions with portfolio companies and assist in value-creation initiatives.

Work closely with senior team members to support investment decision-making.

Contribute to internal process improvements, data management, and research initiatives.

Assist in preparing materials for external partners, investors, and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related field
  • Master’s degree or MBA is a plus
  • Certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or CPA are advantageous
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
  • Understanding of investment strategies, markets, and valuation methods
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience :

  • 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, asset management, or related financial roles
  • Experience with due diligence and market research preferred
