A leading financial institution is seeking an accomplished Financial Controller to manage their financial operations and ensure robust financial practices across the organization. The financial controlling is customized to External needs such as Investors, Auditors, regulatory agencies, and other Banks Financial accounting is essential for providing Regulators, investors and lenders with the transparency and information they need to evaluate a bank's financial health and solvency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Performs monthly, quarterly and year-end closing and consolidation. Prepares appropriate financial statements in accordance with AAOIFI and IFRS where applicable.
- Reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
- Works well with all levels within the bank and group level.
- Details oriented but need to be able to visualizing big pictures.
- Prepares monthly Financial Reports, Consolidation Reports and Cash Flow.
- Reconciles monthly balance sheet and general ledger.
- Prepares year-end audit schedules and reports.
- Ensures all month end, quarter end and year-end reports and tax reports are filed accurately and timely.
- Manage Central bank reporting in a timely manner.
- Ensure Accurate and up-to-date register of all banks’ assets.
- Follow up on all financial matters related to subsidiaries.
- Automate reports through MIS to extract useful information to accelerate process and save time and effort of the unit beside manage finance department MIS requirements.
- Sharing knowledge with the team.
- Submit the variance analysis and communicate with the related unit to explain and justify the variances to prepare an action plans to correct the negative effects.
- Supporting the CFO in engaging the board’s audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
- All the above accountabilities include but not limited to any additional responsibilities assigned by the bank.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance or related fieldMaster’s degree will be preferredMinimum 10 years of extensive work experience in the financial and banking sector, preferably with an international bank.Ability to achieve the goals and objectives assigned by the managementAbility to create and utilize best-practice management and leadership styles.Ability to Identify and define problems and draw valid and effective solutions.Ability to deal with different stakeholders.
