Manual QA Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manual QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing requirements creating and executing test cases identifying bugs and ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Review business and technical requirements to ensure testability and clarity.
  

• Design document and execute manual test cases based on functional specifications.
  

• Perform different types of testing including functional regression smoke integration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  

• Identify document and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g. JIRA Bugzilla).
  

• Collaborate with developers business analysts and product managers to understand requirements and resolve issues.
  

• Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing to ensure stability of releases.
  

• Participate in test planning estimation and reporting activities.
  

• Ensure test coverage and maintain traceability between requirements and test cases.
  

• Contribute to continuous process improvement and best QA practices.
  

Requirements

7 years of experience in software quality assurance including both manual and automation testing.

Strong experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium Cypress Playwright Appium TestNG JUnit or similar.

Solid understanding of SDLC STLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Proficiency in writing test scripts using languages like Java Python or JavaScript.

Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g. Postman REST Assured).

Strong knowledge of SQL and database validation.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.

Excellent analytical problem-solving and debugging skills.

Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior QA team members.

7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automation testing.
