JobSummary:
Thepharmacytechnicianassistswiththecompoundingof sterilepreparations in compliancewith regulatoryrequirementsandorganizationalpoliciesandprocedures,assemblyofpatientsuppliesand equipment,andothertasksunderthe directsupervisionofapharmacist.Thepharmacytechnician assistswiththemaintenanceandcleaningof thepharmacy workareasandassistswithqualitycontrol and performanceimprovementactivitiesasdirected bythefranchisedpharmacymanager.Thisposition reports to the pharmacy manager.
Qualifications:
•Required:Highschooldiplomaorequivalent
•Required:Atleast18yearsofage
•Required: Good interactiveskills with employees, supervisors, referralsources, and consumers
•Required:RegisteredwithVirginiaStateBoardofPharmacy
•Preferred:Nationalpharmacytechniciancertification(CPhT)
•Preferred:Completionofpharmacytechniciantrainingpreferred
•Preferred:Experienceinlaboratoryorhealthcaresetting
PhysicalRequirements:
•Mayrequireliftingover40lbs.
•Mayrequirestandingforextendedperiods
•May requirefrequentuseofcomputerkeyboard
•Mayrequireuseoflatexproducts
•Mayrequiremoderatetohighamountsofdriving(extendedsitting)
