Logistics Specialist
About the job
Responsible for planning and coordinating transportation activities, including route scheduling, resource allocation, and movement tracking to ensure efficient logistics operations. Oversees loading and unloading activities, provides orientation and guidance to operators and drivers, and ensures compliance with safety procedures and operational standards. Verifies that lifting operations are conducted in safe and suitable work environments, ensures personnel are properly trained in the use of lifting equipment, and operates trucks and mounted cranes safely and professionally to support project and operational requirements.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan routes and load scheduling
- Allocate and record resources and movements on the transport planning system.
- Develop transportation team relationships.
- Responsible for the goods loading off-loading and all the operators’ orientation.
- Ensure all the operators and drivers are well trained and safely use the lifting equipment.
- Verify the lifting operation workplace is safe and appropriate for the job.
- Drive the truck and operate its mounted cranes professionally and safely
Qualifications/Experience required
Education: | A high school diploma or equivalent. |
Experience: | 2+ years’ experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution processes. Experience in managing logistics teams and coordinating daily activities to ensure efficient operations. Proficient in logistics software and systems for tracking shipments, inventory levels, and order processing. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges effectively. Strong communication skills for interacting with team members, vendors, and customers. Ability to analyze data and generate reports to improve logistics performance and efficiency. |
Language Requirements: | Arabic & English is a must, French is a plus. |
