Site Engineer - KYME

Job Description

The Interior Site Engineer is responsible for managing on-site interior and fit-out activities to ensure that projects are executed in alignment with approved design specifications, drawings, quality standards, and established timelines. This role involves technical supervision, coordination with contractors and stakeholders, team leadership, and strict adherence to interior finishing and quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily on-site interior and fit-out activities and monitor project progress.
  
• Review project schedules and ensure interior works are executed according to agreed timelines and project milestones.
  
• Provide technical oversight to ensure all interior and finishing works comply with approved design drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  
• Review quantity surveying requirements and technical controls related to interior and finishing works to maintain project accuracy and standards.
  
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
  
• Review and manage shop drawings, Requests for Information (RFIs), Material Requisition Instructions (MRIs), Inspection Requests (IRs), Method Statements (MS), and contractor-submitted variation orders related to interior works.
  
• Evaluate contractor invoices, claims, and variations in coordination with the relevant project stakeholders.
  
• Inspect and verify that finishing materials, fixtures, and installations comply with approved samples, specifications, and required quality standards.
  
• Coordinate interior works with architectural, MEP, and other disciplines to identify and resolve site conflicts and ensure proper execution.
  
• Monitor workmanship and finishing quality, identifying defects or deviations and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  
• Prepare and submit progress reports, highlighting site progress, technical issues, delays, and recommended resolutions for contractor variation orders and claims.
  
• Ensure completed interior works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, required quality standards, and project handover requirements.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering.
  
• Experience: 6–7 years of relevant experience in site engineering and construction.
  
• Skills: Strong leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  

Working Conditions:

• Location: On-site
  
• Hours: 8 hours per day, 6 days a week
  
• Time Off: 1 day off per week
