Technical Office Engineer - Experience in aluminum/alumita

Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Office Engineer (Shop Drawing) to join our Projects and Technical Office team. The role will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and updating detailed Shop Drawings for doors, windows, aluminum/alumital works, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approved designs and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Shop Drawings for doors, windows, aluminum/alumital works, including dimensions, sections, assembly, and fixing details.
• Develop drawings based on approved architectural drawings and actual site measurements.
• Review all dimensions and technical details carefully before submitting drawings for production.
• Update and revise Shop Drawings based on technical changes, site comments, or production requirements.
• Coordinate with the Projects and Production teams regarding drawing priorities and project deadlines.
• Review drawings prepared by draftsmen and ensure they comply with company standards and technical requirements.
• Maintain an organized and updated archive of all Shop Drawings and revisions for each project.
• Provide technical support to Production and Site Installation teams regarding drawing-related inquiries.
• Coordinate with site teams to address discrepancies and incorporate actual site conditions into drawings.
• Ensure drawings are issued accurately and on time to avoid production or installation delays.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architectural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.

3–6 years of relevant experience in preparing and reviewing Shop Drawings.

Experience in aluminum/alumital, doors, windows, or façade projects is highly preferred.

Experience coordinating with production and site installation teams.

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.

Strong ability to prepare accurate and detailed Shop Drawings.

Good understanding of dimensions, sections, assembly, fabrication, and installation details.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.

Knowledge of aluminum/alumital systems and fabrication requirements.

Ability to prepare accurate material and quantity take-offs.

Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
