Senior Cloud Infrastructure and Network Engineer

About the Role : We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure and Network Engineer to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AWS Web Services, robust knowledge of security frameworks, hands-on experience with virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V, a solid understanding of hardware including server and storage troubleshooting, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and MSSQL failover configurations.

Familiarity with Azure services is a plus.

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure and Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our network and cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities : AWS Web Services Administration : Administer and manage AWS Web Services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and other critical AWS components.

Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and applications in AWS.

Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of AWS environments.

Security Management : Implement and enforce security policies and best practices in line with industry standards such as SOC, HIPAA, and others.

Manage security tools and solutions including SOC (Security Operations Center), EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), firewalls, and VPNs.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance and security posture.

Virtualization Administration : Administer and manage virtual environments using VMware and Hyper-V.

Design, deploy, and maintain virtual machines, networks, and storage in both on-premise and cloud environments.

Monitor and optimize virtual infrastructure to ensure performance, scalability, and security.

Hardware Troubleshooting : Understand and troubleshoot server hardware and storage systems.

Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Collaborate with vendors for hardware maintenance and upgrades.

Network Design and Maintenance : Design and implement network solutions to support business needs, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.

Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Maintain detailed network documentation and diagrams.

Microsoft Active Directory & MSSQL Administration : Manage and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, including user management, group policies, and domain services.

Configure and maintain MSSQL failover clusters and Always On availability groups to ensure high availability of database services.

Azure Services (Optional) : Possess good knowledge of Azure services, with the ability to leverage them for cloud-based solutions.

Integration of Azure services with existing AWS infrastructure where applicable.

Collaboration and Support : Work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, security, and application development to ensure seamless integration and operation of network services.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and other team members.

Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on AWS Web Services and security.

Advanced certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are highly desirable.

Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance requirements such as SOC, HIPAA, etc.

Hands-on experience with VMware and Hyper-V administration.

Strong understanding of server hardware and storage systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve related issues.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and MSSQL failover configurations.

Good knowledge of Azure services is an advantage.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
