JOB TITLE : Programme Assistant – Livelihoods
TYPE OF CONTRACT : SC, L5
UNIT / DIVISION : Programme
DUTY STATION (City, Country) : Cairo, Egypt
DURATION : One year
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT : : Perform specialized and standardized policy and programme-related processes and activities that support the effective delivery of livelihoods interventions under the social protection programme of the Egypt Country Office.
ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES : : 1. Within the social protection and livelihoods programmes, support the design, implementation and monitoring of activities, ensuring alignment with WFP programme strategies and guidance, and coherence with national strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : : Education : University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Social Sciences or another field relevant to international development assistance.
Experience : 5 years of Experience in general administrative work and knowledge of development programming in general. Experience in livelihoods or economic empowerment is an asset.
Languages : Fluency in both oral and written Arabic & English.
