Person Profile : Targeted Skills & Capabilities
The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with accounting / group principles, and enhancing financial performance. This position will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, guide the junior staff, and support the Finance Manager in preparing financial reports, budgets / forecast, and analyses
The position is responsible for :
Financial Reporting :
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
General Ledger Management :
Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger and ensure timely and accurate posting of journal entries.Perform monthly reconciliations of all general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.Accounts Payable and Receivable :
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, collections, and payments.Responsible for sending the AR report to CS / Sales team.Monitor internal controls to prevent discrepancies and ensure compliance.Budgeting and Forecasting :
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.Monitor performance against budget and provide variance analysis on a monthly basis.Treasury :
Responsible for submitting all payments on the bank website.Review, classify, and process on the system all employee expense / advance settlements in accordance with company policies and proceed with the payments after granting appropriate approvals.Prepare monthly / quarterly Cash flow forecast.Inventory :
Responsible with the logistics department in cross matching the inventory cost before posting the costs to the system.Work on inventory cost correction and stock adjustmentsParticipate in quarterly, and annual inventory physical count.Monitor purchasing cost and cross match it with the system per shipment.Responsible for the cost equation and detecting any errors and communicating it on spot to the direct manager.Responsible for calculating the stock impairment monthly as per the company policies.Responsible for monitoring the Goods in transit with the logistics department and investigate any delays for any shipment and in case of any errors should be communicated it on spot to the direct manager.Audit Coordination & Tax compliance :
Assist external / internal auditors in year-end activities; provide analysis and reports as required.Assist in ensuring compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.Prepare tax returns and submit them to tax consultants after discussion with the Finance manager and maintain the documentation for audits.Expected Qualification / Education :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Proficiency in Oracle ERP systems & Microsoft office.
Work Experience :
Minimum of 5 years accounting experience.
