The Media Buyer is responsible for planning, purchasing, and optimising paid media campaigns across digital platforms to generate qualified leads and support the company’s marketing objectives.
This role involves strategically selecting media channels, negotiating ad placements, managing advertising budgets, and continuously improving campaign performance to maximise return on investment (ROI).
Campaign Strategy & execution :
- Develop and implement data-driven media buying strategies aligned with marketing objectives and target audiences.
- Plan, launch, and manage lead generation campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), and other platforms such as TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Research and identify the most suitable media platforms and audience segments to maximise results.
Campaign optimisation :
Continuously monitor campaign performance and optimise ads, targeting, bidding strategies, and landing pages to decrease the cost per lead (CPL) and improve overall performance.Perform A / B testing on creatives, ad copy, audience segments, and sales funnels to boost conversion rates.Ensure all tracking is set up accurately, using tools like Google Analytics (GA4), pixels, conversion APIs, and UTM parameters for precise measurement.Budget Management :
Manage and allocate advertising budgets effectively across campaigns to ensure maximum ROI.Track ad spend, avoid overspending, and ensure campaigns stay within approved budgets.Performance Analysis & Reporting :
Analyse campaign performance using key metrics (CPL, CTR, Conversion Rate, ROAS, Lead Quality).Prepare weekly performance reports and monthly detailed reports highlighting results, insights, optimisations, and recommendations.Present clear and actionable insights to the marketing team and stakeholders.Lead Management & Coordination :
Ensure all leads are accurately tracked and delivered to the sales or CRM system.Coordinate with the sales team to evaluate lead quality and closing rate, and refine campaigns based on feedback.Market Insights & Innovation :
Stay updated with advertising trends, platform updates, new tools, and emerging technologies in digital media buying.Suggest new channels, strategies, and campaign ideas to improve overall performance.Vendor & Platform Relations :
Build and maintain strong relationships with platform representatives and advertising account managers.Negotiate with media vendors when applicable to secure better placements or added value.Key Competencies :
