Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a skilled engineer with expertise in Unix and Linux operating systems, scripting and automation, as well as VMware virtualization technologies to join our team at Advansys. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and configuring Unix and Linux operating systems, developing automation scripts, and managing VMware environments to support our infrastructure and application needs.

Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, and maintain Unix and Linux operating systems across various environments.
• Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline system deployment and management processes.
• Manage VMware infrastructure, including the installation and configuration of virtual machines, resource allocation, and monitoring performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve system and infrastructure issues.
• Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure the integrity and security of the operating systems.
• Monitor system performance and conduct necessary optimization to enhance efficiency.
• Document procedures, configurations, and best practices to maintain knowledge within the team.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new technologies and infrastructure improvements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and other IT staff.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements related to Unix, Linux, scripting, and virtualization technologies.
