Senior System Administration Engineer

Purpose of the job

Lead design and administration of secure, scalable Linux / UNIX-based systems across public / private cloud and telco environments. Support automation, virtualization, storage, and infrastructure resilience while collaborating across IT and engineering domains.

Duties and responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage hybrid infrastructure across public, private, and Telco clouds
• Administer Linux / UNIX systems with a focus on performance, security, and automation
• Deploy and manage virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenStack) and SDN / SDS solutions
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) for consistent configuration management
• Manage multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) with a focus on cost optimization and resilience
• Support container orchestration and telecom applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift (5G, MEC)
• Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines and serverless deployments
• Enforce security architecture (Zero Trust, RBAC) and ensure compliance standards are met
• Configure and troubleshoot networking, identity, and storage architecture
• Maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Deploy and monitor observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK Stack)
• Collaborate on OSS / BSS integration and Telco orchestration (ONAP, ETSI MANO)
• Document processes and provide mentorship on emerging infrastructure technologies

Job specification

Education

Bachelors in communication engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Experience

2 to 4 years in system administration, including multi-cloud and telecom infrastructure
