Job description

Responsibilities :

Install, configure, and upgrade database software to meet performance needs.
Monitor and optimize database performance, addressing bottlenecks and implementing tuning strategies.
Develop and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity.
Administer database security, user access, and compliance with data policies.
Ensure data accuracy through validation procedures and adherence to standards.
Conduct capacity planning to support scalability and future growth.
Troubleshoot database issues, collaborating with IT teams for resolution.
Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes.
Generate reports on database performance and usage for informed decision-making.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on systems.

Excellent Command of the English Language

Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with architecture and database management practices.

Familiarity with database design, documentation standards, and coding best practices.

Proven experience in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes for large database environments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve complex database issues.
