Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Project Leadership
Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of the EMR implementation.
Define milestones, timelines, and KPIs; ensure scope, quality, and timeline adherence.
Manage system configuration, clinical data migration, and environment setup.
Coordinate EMR integration with HIS, LIS, RIS, PACS, and ERP systems.
Plan and oversee phased rollouts, go-live support, and cutover strategies.
Clinical Engagement & Change Management
Engage doctors, nurses, and allied health staff for alignment and adoption.
Lead change management initiatives and training for smooth transition.
Conduct workflow assessments and align EMR design with clinical practices.
Identify super-users, facilitate feedback sessions, and monitor readiness.
Communicate EMR benefits to manage resistance and ensure buy-in.
Training & Adoption
Develop and oversee training programs for clinical and support staff.
Monitor adoption rates and address resistance through targeted support.
Lead post-go-live support and ongoing improvements.
Governance & Compliance
Establish governance to ensure accountability and compliance with regulations (HIPAA, HL7, JCI).
Collaborate with compliance and legal teams for audit readiness.
Monitor risks and implementation KPIs.
Stakeholder Management
Act as a key liaison between EMR product teams, clinical departments, and leadership.
Facilitate regular updates, align stakeholders, and resolve conflicts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in healthcare, IT, or related field; Masters preferred.
10+ years of healthcare IT / EMR experience; 3+ years in leadership.
Strong understanding of hospital workflows and EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Meditech, OhumVistA).
Experience in change management, training, and stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and integration tools like Mirth or InterSystems.
Proficiency in English; Arabic preferred.
