Mechanical Design Engineer

The successful candidate will form part of AESGs dynamic Sustainable Engineering team and will be based in Cairo, Egypt. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. You will work on a variety of projects involving mechanical design, analysis, prototyping, and manufacturing support.

Responsibilities :

• Develop detailed Mechanical (HVAC, water supply, drainage, etc.) system designs for various types of construction projects.
• Ensure all designs are in compliance with local UAE and GCC regulations, codes, and standards, as well as international best practices.
• Engage with clients to understand their specific requirements and ensure their needs are incorporated into designs.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations on plumbing and fire protection solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and electrical engineers, ensuring integrated and coordinated designs.
• Attend coordination meetings to address potential design conflicts and offer solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters, ensuring the consistent quality of design outputs.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and techniques in the plumbing and fire engineering field.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and reports for project documentation.
• Review and approve material submissions and shop drawings from contractors, ensuring compliance with design intent.
