Technical Engineer (Interior Design & Finishing)

Job Description

Objective of the Role

To provide accurate and detailed technical drawings, site measurements, and quantity take-offs that ensure precision in execution and support the delivery of high-quality interior finishing projects.

Main Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate execution drawings to facilitate on-site implementation and guarantee accuracy.

Conduct quantity surveying and prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities) .

Manage purchasing requests and review client requirements based on BOQs.

Perform site visits to take accurate measurements .

Upload plans and quantities into AutoCAD for further development.

Create execution drawings using elevations and 3D modeling .

Develop shop drawings for woodworks and furniture items .

Coordinate with design and site teams to ensure smooth execution.

Apply revisions and ensure compliance with client specifications.

Submit regular reports to the direct supervisor.

Requirements

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Arts, or related field .

2–3 years of experience in interior finishing or construction projects .

Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D Max (or similar), and technical drawing software .

Experience in BOQs, shop drawings, and execution documentation .

Familiarity with materials, finishes, and site execution methods .

Key Skills

Advanced AutoCAD skills for 2D execution drawings.

Strong 3D visualization and elevation drawing capabilities.

Precision in quantity surveying and cost estimation .

Knowledge of shop drawings for woodworks and joinery .

Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
