A leading company in producing soy bean and oil is seeking to hire a graduates to join their team as Commercial Management Trainees. Key Responsibilities :
- Support the merchandising team with pricing, contract structuring, and customer negotiations across domestic and export markets.
- Reconcile trading positions and daily P&L, gain insight into margin management and risk exposure.
- Enter, validate, and track contract data in internal systems.
- Collect and synthesize market intelligence to support commercial strategies.
- Prepare material and participate in weekly risk meetings, contributing to supply & demand analysis and price outlooks.
- Build an understanding for logistics operations, delivery timelines, and customer satisfaction drivers.
- Shadow Finance and Operations teams to learn how cash flow, inventory, and production shape trading decisions.
- Take increasing ownership of customer relationships and trading decisions as the program progresses.
- Handle vessel documentation for imports and exports with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Coordinate with shipping agents, customs brokers, and port authorities to ensure smooth cargo flow.
- Track vessel movements and manage communication across counterparties and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of trade paperwork.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, or a related field.1 - 2 years of experience preferred (internships or industry exposure a plus).High attention to detail with a track record of accuracy in document handling or process-driven work.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workflows in fast-moving shipping and logistics environments.Strong organizational skills and accountability - able to follow up with agents, ports, and suppliers proactively.Strong analytical skills and comfort with numbers - Excel proficiency expected; Power BI is a plus.Clear interest in commercial work - curious about markets, margins, and customer relationship management.Collaborative mindset with the maturity to work in a lean, high-trust environment.Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, written and spoken.Eagerness to learn on the job and grow into a merchant role.Benefits
