Job Description
We are seeking driven and enthusiastic individuals to join us as Operations Trainees . This role offers practical, hands-on training in dry bulk vessel operations, where you will play a vital role in supporting a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the day-to-day execution of vessel operations,focusing on voyage optimization and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with captains, port agents, charterers, owners, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and follow up on voyage-related costs and documentation
- Support the chartering team with operational insight to enhance future planning.
- Participate in operational projects and port / vessel / customer visits.
- Assist in resolving challenges with our legal and P&I teams.
- Contribute to ensuring cost-effective and high-quality voyage execution.
- Learn and apply best practices in maritime operations and stakeholder management.
Requirements
Graduated of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Logistics Department.Preferably a Business Administration graduate from one of the following universities : AUC, BUE, or GUC.A strong interest in shipping, logistics, or maritime operationsA relevant educational background (maritime studies, logistics, engineering, business, etc.)Internship or sailing experience is a plus, but not requiredExcellent communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken)Proactive mindset, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learnStrong sense of responsibility, urgency, and attention to detailTeam player who also takes ownership and works independentlyStrong IT skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new systemsAppreciation of multicultural work environments and collaborationA sense of urgency and keep deadlines without compromising qualityA self-starter who proactively contributes with ideas and solutionsAppreciation of working in a multicultural environmentRequirements
