SAP ABAP Developer

Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a SAP ABAP Developer for one of our partners, a global leader in the food and services industry.

Job Summary :

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing ABAP-based solutions that align with our organization's needs. The ABAP Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional consultants, project managers, and enterprise architects, to ensure that the solutions meet business requirements and are scalable, secure, efficient, and reliable.

Responsibilities :

• Technical Development :
• Develop, modify, and enhance custom SAP applications using ABAP programming language, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF).
• Write efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code that meets organizational and SAP best practices.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing SAP modules.
• Problem Solving and Debugging :
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues within SAP systems, including debugging existing programs and performing root cause analysis for system errors or inefficiencies.
• Provide timely and effective support to resolve user-reported issues and implement enhancements as needed.
• Documentation and Testing :
• Create and maintain technical documentation for all developments, ensuring that coding standards, naming conventions, and documentation practices are consistently followed.
• Participate in and support unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that developments meet the specified requirements and are free from defects.
• Collaboration and Communication :
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other IT professionals, to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Continuous Improvement :
• Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and methodologies, including S / 4HANA, ABAP on HANA, and SAP Fiori.
• Proactively suggest and implement improvements to existing SAP solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Project Management Support :
• Contribute to project planning activities by providing accurate estimates of development efforts and timelines.
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, such as technical specifications, project plans, and progress reports.
