Envision Employment Solutions is currently looking for a Senior Splunk Engineer for one of our partners, a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology, and engineering services.
This position requires flexibility to work on US times and flexibility to travel abroad when needed.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of Splunk infrastructure, including indexers, search heads, and forwarders.
- Develop and manage advanced Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts to provide actionable insights.
- Perform complex data ingestion, parsing, and normalization from various sources into Splunk.
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues related to Splunk performance and data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Monitor and optimize Splunk performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior Splunk engineers and team members.
- Stay updated with the latest Splunk features and best practices, and apply them to improve our systems.
- Provide training and support to end-users on advanced Splunk functionalities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Outstanding English communication, both verbal and non-verbal.Extensive experience as a Splunk Engineer or similar role.Deep knowledge of Splunk architecture, configuration, and administration.Proficiency in creating complex Splunk queries, dashboards, and reports.Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.Familiarity with IT security concepts and practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and leadership abilities.Preferred QualificationsSplunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User, Admin, Architect).Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) or IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).Familiarity with cloud-based logging and monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).Knowledge of other monitoring tools and platforms (e.g., Nagios, Grafana).TIL certification or familiarity with IT operations and service management frameworks.Key CompetenciesSplunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Admin, Splunk Certified Architect).Experience with other data analytics tools and platforms.Knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their integration with Splunk.Experience in mentoring and leading technical teams.Benefits
