1. Supervising and coordinating all transportation activities including vehicle scheduling, dispatching, and routing.
2. Managing drivers and vehicle operators, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
3. Monitoring vehicle maintenance and inspection schedules to ensure optimal performance and roadworthiness.
4. Preparing and maintaining transportation records, including logs, mileage reports, and fuel consumption.
5. Developing efficient delivery routes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
6. Coordinating with other departments to ensure timely transportation of materials, equipment, or personnel.
7. Handling transportation budgets, analyzing costs, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
8. Ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
9. Responding to emergencies or delays caused by weather, accidents, or other unforeseen events.
10. Training and evaluating staff to maintain high levels of performance and professionalism.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a transportation manager, fleet supervisor, or similar role (typically 3–5 years).
3. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
4. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and make quick decisions under pressure.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management software (TMS) is a plus.
7. Valid driver’s license – having a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is an advantage.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with different departments.
9. Flexibility to work outside regular hours, including weekends or holidays, when needed.
10. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
