Job Description :
This position will lead and grow the sales function within the utilities sector managing a team of sales managers & engineers and driving business growth. Segment covers CBS, water treatment, water & wastewater plants. This is a leadership role requiring strong technical acumen, team management skills, and the ability to build long-term strategic relationships within the ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities : Sales Strategy & Operations :
- Develop & implement the sales strategy & plan for the segment : forecast sales growth, identify growth opportunities and target clients
- Monitor and follow up on the team’s activities, ensuring quality lead generation, proper opportunity tracking, and effective pipeline management.
- Review and enhance the quality and competitiveness of proposals and quotations submitted by the team.
- Provide guidance on complex projects and pricing strategies, and support team in closing important deals
- Coordinate with internal technical and support teams to ensure smooth execution of sales processes.
- Support management in marketing efforts including competitive analysis, pricing, trade shows and portfolio expansion
Client & Ecosystem Relationship Management :
Build and maintain strong relationships with key utility clients, engineering consulting firms, government authorities, and relevant ecosystem players.Ensure inclusion of brands we represent and product ranges in preferred vendor lists and approved tender documents.Oversee strategic client communications and maintain high client satisfaction levels.Reporting & Performance Management :
Lead and coach the current team of Area Sales Managers; and manage the recruitment of additional Sales Engineers.Set team sales targets and monitor performance against KPIs.Regularly report on sales performance, forecast accuracy, and pipeline health to the Managing Partners.Coach, train, and identify development plans for the sales team.Requirements
Requirements :
Our ideal candidate builds in-depth knowledge of product range, excels at lead generation, team leadership, relationship building, and closing deals.
15-20 years of experience expected in B2B sales within the pumps, water, or utilities sectors.Bachelor’s degree in engineering is necessary, Mechanical Engineering highly preferred.Proven leadership experience managing sales teams and driving business development.Strong network within utility authorities, consultants, and project stakeholders is a plus.Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic relationship-building skills.Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
